KiwiRail – City Rail Link Project Delivery (Energisation and First Test Train)
In early 2025, the City Rail Link (CRL) project reached a major milestone with the successful completion of its energisation phase. This pivotal achievement powered up the tracks and systems, setting the stage for the first in a series of test trains that began rolling through the tunnels later that year. Each test marked a step closer to transforming Auckland’s transport future.
